Hi, I’m Miriam Longoria

MSW, LICSW

Founder of Longoria Counseling and Wellness. I’m a bilingual therapist based in Washington State, offering therapy in both English and Spanish. I specialize in working with teens, young adults, and first-generation individuals who are navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, ADHD, and social anxiety. As a first-gen Latina myself, I understand how culture, family, and identity intersect in deeply personal ways. My approach is trauma-informed, culturally responsive, and rooted in connection. I blend evidence-based practices like CBT and DBT skills with a relational, strengths-based style— because I believe healing happens through honesty, safety, and collaboration. Whether you’re looking to set boundaries, manage emotions, heal from past wounds, or reconnect with who you truly are, I’m here to walk alongside you. You don’t have to figure it out alone.

I offer trauma-informed, culturally responsive therapy in both English and Spanish, with a special focus on supporting first-generation, BIPOC, and neurodiverse clients. Using a blend of evidence-based practices like CBT, DBT skills, and strength-based approaches, I help you better understand yourself, regulate emotions, build healthy boundaries, and reconnect with your sense of purpose.

Couples Therapy

Every relationship has its seasons—and sometimes, you just need the right tools and space to reconnect. Whether you're facing communication breakdowns, emotional distance, trust issues, or constant conflict, couples therapy offers a structured and supportive space to rebuild your connection.

 

I incorporate Gottman Method Couples Therapy, an evidence-based approach backed by decades of research on what makes relationships thrive. Using this model, we’ll work on improving communication, deepening emotional intimacy, and learning how to manage conflict in a healthier, more respectful way. I also bring a trauma-informed and culturally responsive lens to my work— supporting couples from diverse backgrounds, including first-generation and bilingual relationships. Couples therapy isn’t just for crisis—it's an investment in your partnership. Together, we’ll strengthen your foundation, restore emotional safety, and help you move forward with clarity and care.
